ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATOR
Position: Environmental Educator (Full-time)
Location: Catamount Institute
Description: Catamount Institute is seeking to engage a full-time environmental educator interested in a non-traditional classroom setting. The applicant should have a strong knowledge of environmental and atmospheric science, the Colorado State Education Standards, and a desire to positively impact the lives of our students. A successful applicant will be responsible for teaching educational programs and camps, as well as developing curriculum that aligns with the Colorado State Standards.
Qualifications:
Two+ years in field and/or classroom teaching experience.
Working knowledge of regional environmental and land management issues. Experienced in developing standards-based and innovative educational curricula, and outdoor program development.
Successful grant writing and administration experience is highly desirable as well
Working knowledge of MS office programs, excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are a must.
Certification in Wilderness First Responder and CPR a plus, but not required.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
