Eric Cefus grew up outside of Atlanta, Ga. where he spent a lot of time at Stone Mountain State Park. At a young age, this area allowed Eric to gain full appreciation of his natural surroundings. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His professional career as an engineer then led him to living in Canada where he furthered his love of nature in the Canadian woods.
For the last 10 years, Eric worked as the Business Coordinator for an international engineering firm developing advanced engine technology to help improve the environment. He serves on the board of directors for a local parks group, as well as a startup national energy company. Most recently, Eric served on the Catamount Institute Board of Directors before accepting the position as Executive Director.
Eric has lived in Divide, Colorado for the past 13 years with his wife Kathy and two children. He likes to read, cook, hike, camp, run, do triathlons, play his guitar, and spend time with his family. His personal goal is to leave the world a better place.
