Information: Elise Miller was born and raised in Ohio and moved out west as soon as she graduated high school to be closer to the mountains, deserts, rivers, and forests that captivated her. She obtained her B.A from Prescott College in Arizona in Sustainable Community Development. She has worked at numerous environmental non-profits throughout her career and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Pikes Peak Urban Gardens in Colorado Springs. Her education background stems mostly from being a camp counselor in Prescott, a summer instructor at Telluride Academy, an Americorps member where she taught environmental education in Tennessee, teaching preschool in Telluride and at Rock Ledge Ranch, and creating a garden club at Buena Vista Elementary School in Colorado Springs. Elise enjoys working with children of all ages and believes environmental education is important to the future of the planet. Elise’s passions include gardening, cooking, hiking, skiing, biking, traveling, writing, camping, seeing music, and hanging out with her boyfriend Sequoia, son Kaiden, and two dogs, Princess Leia and Ocoee.
