Vicente Sanchez is a Science Educator with the Catamount Institute. He is currently majoring in Finance at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Vicente was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico but grew up all over the world. With his father being in the U.S. Air Force, the Sanchez family had the opportunity to live overseas in Spain and Turkey. As he was exposed to various cultures and landscapes, Vicente developed a love for the entire world and traveling.
After graduating high school in San Antonio, Texas, Vicente moved to Colorado Springs to attend the University of Colorado in 2001. Since his interests span from sewing to chemistry, he has adopted the 10 year academic plan instead of the traditional 4.
Living in Colorado has opened Vicente’s eyes to nature and attracted him to helping teach others what they can do to better their surroundings. He joined the Catamount Institute in January 2008 as an intern and is excited about teaching children how to be inspired by ecological stewardship. |
