Catamount Institute's Young Environmental Stewards (YES) students
participated in a unique experience learning about and helping with a
weather balloon launch at Colorado College. Students from Ivywild and
Bricker Elementary Schools were taken to Colorado College and
introduced to CC students majoring in Atmospheric Science.

Catamount Institute Receives Gift from Intel Corporation |

Catamount Institute received a $10,000 gift from Intel Corporation to
support the Young Environmental Stewards (YES) program – an innovative
after-school and summer camp program presented to 4th-12th graders in
Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and Woodland Park. YES builds
tomorrow’s leaders today, teaching underserved and minority youth about
the world around them in unique ways by combining ecology,
conservation, technology and community leadership.
