Pikes Peak United Way and Leadership Pikes Peak are leading an effort to determine the indicators that determine a good quality of life in our region. The sections are: Economy, Social Wellbeing, Preserving the Natural Environment, Sustaining a Healthy Community, Education, Arts/Culture/Recreation, Keeping a Community Safe, Transportation, and Fostering Community Engagement. Eric Cefus, Executive Director of Catamount Institute is chairperson for the Environment section. The indicators being discussed are: * Water- consumption, impervious surfaces, pollution in Fountain Creek * Air- Ozone Levels, asthma, trees * Energy- renewable,, consumption, energy efficient homes  |
